Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the timely processing of all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation and labeling.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping logs, tracking numbers, and inventory movements within the SAP system.
- Monitor freight costs and negotiate with carriers to optimize shipping rates and routes.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
- Assist in the preparation of customs paperwork and import/export documentation as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
