Responsibilities
- Coordinate Logistics: Manage the full shipping cycle, including booking freight, scheduling pickups, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Documentation: Prepare and process accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Problem Resolution: Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve any logistical delays, damages, or customs issues.
- Vendor Management: Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to align shipping schedules with business needs.
- Data Accuracy: Maintain up-to-date records of inventory movement and shipping logs in our logistics management system.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all shipping activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain or Logistics is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and experience with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) is a plus.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- License: Valid driver's license is highly desirable.
