Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic/international shipments via truck, rail, and air freight
- Manage documentation including bills of lading, customs forms, and compliance records
- Optimize routing and carrier selection to minimize costs and transit times
- Track shipments in real-time and proactively resolve transit delays
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient load planning and dock scheduling
- Maintain compliance with DOT, IATA, and international trade regulations
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in freight coordination or logistics operations
- Proficiency in TMS/WMS software (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms and customs clearance procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to handle complex routing scenarios
- Valid Tennessee driver's license and clean MVR record
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends
- Strong negotiation skills with carriers and freight brokers
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
