Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations from order fulfillment to final delivery
- Manage documentation including bills of lading, customs forms, and shipping manifests
- Optimize freight routing through port authorities, carriers, and warehouse facilities
- Monitor shipment tracking and proactively resolve transit delays or discrepancies
- Collaborate with customs brokers and international partners for compliance
- Maintain inventory databases and shipping schedules in ERP systems
- Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination
- Proficiency with shipping software (e.g., Descartes, Blue Yonder) and ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS and international shipping regulations
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Certification in logistics (e.g., CSCP, CTL) preferred
- Experience with Port of New Orleans operations highly desirable
- Excellent verbal/written communication and problem-solving abilities
