Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic/international shipments from order placement to final delivery
- Manage carrier relationships and negotiate freight rates
- Prepare shipping documentation (BOLs, customs forms, invoices)
- Monitor shipment tracking and proactively resolve transit issues
- Optimize inventory levels and warehouse space utilization
- Collaborate with sales, warehouse, and customer service teams
- Ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, and hazardous materials regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of shipping coordination or logistics experience
- Proficiency in TMS/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms and shipping documentation
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in high-volume environments
- Familiarity with Milwaukee's shipping corridors and carrier networks
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent certification
