Responsibilities
- Coordinate international and domestic shipping routes through the Port of New Orleans
- Manage documentation compliance for customs clearance and regulatory requirements
- Track shipments using TMS systems and provide real-time updates to stakeholders
- Collaborate with carriers, warehouses, and clients to resolve logistical challenges
- Optimize freight costs through route analysis and carrier negotiations
- Maintain accurate inventory records and shipment databases
- Prepare bills of lading and shipping manifests
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in logistics or shipping coordination
- Proficiency with TMS software (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of INCOTERMS and international shipping regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
- FMCSA Hazmat certification a plus
