Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage freight forwarding activities, including selecting carriers and negotiating rates.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor shipping performance and troubleshoot logistics issues to resolve delays or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy and proper packaging.
- Prepare and process bills of lading, invoices, and customs documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency with logistics software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan).
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and international shipping standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
