Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists, ensuring full compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Track shipments in real-time using logistics software and proactively resolve any delays or issues to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities, inventory levels, and carrier performance metrics.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external carriers to resolve logistics challenges and improve operational workflows.
- Conduct regular audits of shipping procedures to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using logistics management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Associates) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with carriers.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Business preferred.
