Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Track shipment status and proactively resolve any delays or logistical issues with carriers.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and shipping logs in the ERP system.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients regarding shipping status and expectations.
- Review shipping costs and negotiate rates with carriers to optimize budget.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding role.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of Incoterms, shipping regulations, and customs procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License.
