In this pivotal role, you will act as the primary point of contact for all shipping activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods across domestic and international networks. You will work closely with carriers, warehouse staff, and clients to resolve logistics challenges and optimize shipping routes.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments, including LTL, FTL, and air freight.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists.
- Track shipments in real-time and communicate status updates to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Resolve shipping delays, freight claims, and carrier discrepancies efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping logs, costs, and delivery performance metrics.
- Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure compliance with international regulations.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate order fulfillment and loading.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding (Port City experience is a plus).
- Proficient in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Associates) or Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of Incoterms, freight classifications, and shipping regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate with carriers.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
