We are looking for a proactive individual who can manage complex shipping schedules, resolve logistics bottlenecks, and ensure our clients receive their freight on time and in perfect condition. This is an immediate hire opportunity with excellent benefits and growth potential.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track inbound and outbound freight shipments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL), commercial invoices, and packing lists accurately.
- Maintain up-to-date records in transportation management systems (TMS) and spreadsheets.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding shipment status and delays.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and logistical issues immediately to minimize downtime.
- Assist in loading and unloading freight when necessary to ensure safe handling.
- Conduct daily freight audits and reconcile accounts payable/receivable.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, Hazmat shipping requirements, and Incoterms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics or related field is a plus.
- Valid driver's license (clean driving record preferred).
