Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic/international shipments via air, sea, and ground freight
- Manage documentation (BOLs, customs forms, invoices) for 100+ shipments weekly
- Optimize routing to minimize transit costs while meeting delivery SLAs
- Resolve transportation disruptions through carrier negotiations and contingency planning
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customs teams for end-to-end visibility
- Implement and maintain compliance with DOT/IMO regulations
- Analyze shipping metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Train staff on new logistics technologies and procedures
Qualifications
- 3+ years in shipping coordination or logistics management
- Proficiency in TMS/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Active preferred)
- Expert knowledge of Incoterms 2020 and customs clearance procedures
- Strong negotiation skills with LTL/FTL carriers
- Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
- Forklift certification (OSHA 10-hour certification a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
