Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload palletized materials
- Perform daily pre-operation safety inspections and maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and documentation in warehouse management systems
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and company material handling standards
- Collaborate with warehouse team to optimize storage and retrieval workflows
- Assist in warehouse cleanup and organization duties
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 3 days)
- Minimum 1 year recent forklift operation experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Basic math skills for inventory documentation
- Reliable transportation to Oakland worksites
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work day/night shifts and weekends as needed
