Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and railcars, ensuring accurate documentation and secure fastening of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory control by scanning items and updating warehouse management systems.
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems.
