Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move, load, and unload palletized goods
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and documentation using warehouse management systems
- Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols and conduct daily equipment inspections
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow and meet production targets
- Stack and organize inventory in designated storage areas with spatial efficiency
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns to supervisors immediately
- Assist in warehouse cleaning and maintenance activities during downtime
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 1 year experience operating sit-down forklifts in a warehouse setting
- Strong understanding of weight distribution and load balancing principles
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work overtime shifts and occasional weekends as needed
