Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move, locate, and place materials.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload freight trucks and containers, ensuring accuracy and speed.
- Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate inventory counts and organize stock in designated storage areas.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10 preferred).
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy when handling inventory.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and able to pass a background check.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
