Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate powered industrial trucks (e.g., sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts) to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and dock areas.
- Pallet Management: Stack, organize, and secure pallets according to company standards and safety regulations.
- Inventory Accuracy: Participate in cycle counts and inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and company policies to maintain a accident-free workplace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and report any equipment malfunctions to management immediately.
- Customer Service: Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders to meet customer delivery deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying temperatures.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
