Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently drive forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, and stack materials.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Handle the loading and unloading of trucks and containers, ensuring accuracy and weight distribution.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the receiving, counting, and stocking of inventory, ensuring records match physical stock.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in proper working order and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Keep Area Clean: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly workspace at all times to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Certification: Must hold a current and valid forklift operator license (CPC or equivalent).
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and safety checks.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for warehouse operations.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work a consistent schedule.
