As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring our supply chain operates smoothly. You will be responsible for the accurate movement and storage of goods, contributing directly to our efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the facility.
- Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts, stock checks, and manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts.
- Packing & Labeling: Properly pack, seal, label, and stage shipments according to customer specifications and regulatory standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols, including wearing proper PPE and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage and ensure quality standards are met before shipment.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs, pick lists, and shipping paperwork to maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid forklift certification (Class A or B) is a plus but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Good vision and dexterity are required.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, basic computer literacy, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
