Responsibilities
- Coordinate and optimize domestic/international shipments across multiple carriers and modes (air, ocean, ground)
- Manage documentation compliance (customs forms, bills of lading, commercial invoices)
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS software and proactively resolve transit delays
- Liaise with warehouse teams, customs brokers, and international partners
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Maintain accurate shipment records and generate performance reports
- Train junior coordinators on SOPs and emerging logistics technologies
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in shipping coordination or logistics operations
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Descartes)
- Deep knowledge of INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and export compliance
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with crisis management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
- Strong Excel skills and data analysis capabilities
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak shipping seasons
- Valid NYC-based driver's license preferred
