Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments across multiple carriers and modes of transport
- Manage documentation (BOLs, customs forms, commercial invoices) with 99.9% accuracy
- Optimize shipping routes and schedules to minimize costs and transit times
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS software and provide proactive client updates
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customs teams to resolve delivery exceptions
- Conduct monthly freight audits and negotiate carrier contracts
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for shipping efficiency
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in shipping coordination or supply chain management
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Active preferred)
- Expert knowledge of INCOTERMS and international trade regulations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to optimize complex logistics networks
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration
- FMCSA hazardous materials certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proven track record of reducing shipping costs by 15%+
