Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload merchandise from trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Verification: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading to ensure accuracy.
- Organization: Organize stock in the warehouse to optimize space and retrieval speed.
- Quality Control: Inspect merchandise for damage during transit and report discrepancies immediately.
- Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Support: Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required by management.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Skills: Basic math skills for inventory verification.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus but not required for the right candidate.
- Safety: Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
