Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely load and unload trucks and shipping containers using hand trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Packing & Labeling: Properly package items, apply labels, and ensure proper documentation for all shipments.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on loading equipment and report any malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50-70 pounds repeatedly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and paperwork.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
- Valid Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is preferred.
