Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload freight from trailers and trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Packing & Shipping: Properly package, label, and prepare merchandise for shipment to ensure damage-free delivery.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing inventory against shipping manifests and purchase orders.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure workplace.
- Equipment Operation: Operate scanning equipment and inventory management software (WMS) accurately and efficiently.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free warehouse floor to facilitate efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and paperwork.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if required.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience is a plus, but not required for the right candidate.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
