Responsibilities
- Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload trailers, pallets, and shipping containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Material Handling: Sort, stack, and organize merchandise within the warehouse to optimize storage space and workflow.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on material handling equipment and report any mechanical issues to supervisors immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure timely processing of orders.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required (we provide training).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Documentation: Ability to read and interpret shipping labels, manifests, and purchase orders accurately.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic and the ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends if necessary.
- License: Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory.
