Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping of goods.
- Manage and mentor a team of warehouse staff, conducting performance reviews and providing training on safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company policies to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and inventory audits, resolving discrepancies immediately.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems to maximize space utilization and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with supply chain managers and logistics coordinators to schedule shipments and meet delivery deadlines.
- Monitor equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs to prevent downtime.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Certified Forklift Operator (CFO) and/or forklift certification is required.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
