Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the daily workflow of the warehouse, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and manage incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement and implement strategies to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to ensure optimal functionality.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or certification in logistics is a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and warehouse management software.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead team meetings effectively.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification and OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
