Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Team Leadership: Manage, train, and mentor a diverse team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to minimize risks and ensure a secure workplace for all employees.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement strategies to reduce shrinkage and optimize stock placement.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate routine maintenance for forklifts and warehouse equipment, ensuring all machinery is in safe working order.
- Performance Review: Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to drive team performance.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a related supply chain role.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading and supervising a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certifications: Forklift certification and valid driver's license required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or certification in Logistics is a plus.
