Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and distribution of temperature-sensitive goods
- Train and manage team of 8-12 warehouse staff, enforcing safety protocols and performance standards
- Implement inventory control systems using WMS software to maintain 99.5% accuracy
- Coordinate with transportation teams for seamless dock scheduling and load optimization
- Conduct regular safety audits and maintain compliance with OSHA and FDA regulations
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to maximize efficiency during peak seasons
Qualifications
- 3+ years warehouse management experience in cold storage or temperature-controlled environments
- OSHA 30 certification and Forklift Operator certification required
- Proficiency in WMS systems (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan Active) and inventory management software
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to motivate diverse teams
- Knowledge of Alaska-specific logistics challenges and DOT regulations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
