Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure order fulfillment accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor warehouse staff to maximize productivity and morale.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment for all employees.
- Process Improvement: Analyze current procedures and implement lean strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower operational costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all warehouse machinery and equipment are inspected and maintained properly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification is mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP, Manhattan, or Oracle.
- Leadership: Strong ability to lead teams, handle conflict resolution, and communicate effectively across departments.
