Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and shipping of temperature-controlled goods
- Lead and mentor 15+ team members, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and performance standards
- Optimize inventory management systems to achieve 99.5% accuracy rates
- Coordinate cross-functional activities with transportation, quality control, and customer service teams
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure OSHA/Alaska state compliance
- Manage warehouse equipment maintenance and fleet coordination
- Generate performance reports and recommend process enhancements
Qualifications
- 3+ years warehouse/supervisory experience in cold chain or logistics
- Forklift certification and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Proven track record in team leadership and conflict resolution
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and Alaska labor regulations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Advanced problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in inventory control techniques and data analysis
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and navigate warehouse environments
