Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and shipping of temperature-controlled goods
- Manage team of 10+ warehouse staff, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Implement OSHA compliance protocols and maintain safety standards
- Optimize inventory control systems using WMS technology
- Coordinate cross-functional logistics with transportation and procurement teams
- Analyze operational metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Resolve escalated customer and supplier issues with urgency
Qualifications
- 5+ years warehouse/supply chain management experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification and forklift operation credentials
- Proven leadership in union or non-union environments
- Advanced proficiency in WMS software (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan)
- Strong knowledge of cold chain logistics and FDA regulations
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in sub-zero temperatures
- Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure
- Valid Alaska driver's license
