Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and conducting performance reviews.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of merchandise, ensuring accuracy in inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Manage shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely processing of orders and accurate documentation.
- Train new employees on proper handling procedures, equipment use, and company policies.
- Analyze operational workflows to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including labor hours and inventory variances.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role within a logistics or distribution environment.
- Forklift certification and valid driverβs license are required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, capable of motivating a diverse team.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and computer applications (Excel, Word).
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
