Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee daily receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping activities to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Safety Leadership: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to maintain a zero-incident work environment.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, coach, and mentor a team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and implement procedures to minimize shrinkage and errors.
- Process Improvement: Analyze workflow bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance and utilization of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in warehouse supervision or logistics management.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (CFO) and forklift trainer certification is a strong plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as Manhattan, SAP, or Oracle.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
