Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring workflow efficiency and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular audits, and manage the receiving, storage, and shipping of inventory to prevent loss and waste.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free workplace for all employees.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement and implement strategies to streamline warehouse processes and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate routine maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring all machinery is in proper working order.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus.
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience preferred; training is provided for qualified candidates without direct supervision experience.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff and management.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions (loading docks).
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams and resolve conflicts constructively.
