Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily receiving, storage, and shipping activities to ensure inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in workflow and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and manage inventory discrepancies.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Performance Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics; prior supervisory experience is highly preferred.
- Training: Willingness to participate in our paid on-the-job training program for supervisor certification.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and warehouse management software.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead team meetings effectively.
- License: Valid driver’s license and forklift certification are required.
