Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor a diverse team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and implement procedures to minimize shrinkage and maximize accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company policies, conducting daily safety briefings and incident investigations.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and proper usage of material handling equipment, including forklifts and conveyors.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead capacity.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and inventory management principles.
- Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory tracking software.
- Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions (loading dock areas).
- Certifications: Forklift certification and OSHA 30-hour training are highly desirable.
