Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, order picking, packing, and shipping to ensure 100% order accuracy and timely delivery.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and train warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols (OSHA) and conduct regular safety audits to maintain a hazard-free workplace for all employees.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, oversee cycle counts, and ensure the accuracy of inventory management systems (WMS).
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement strategies to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to ensure they are in safe, working order.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead capacity.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and inventory software (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, Oracle).
- Certifications: Valid Forklift certification and OSHA 10/30 General Industry training required.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead team meetings and interact effectively with cross-functional departments.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
