Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Manage, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and enforce strict safety protocols to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock transfers to ensure accurate order fulfillment and reduce shrinkage.
- Collaborate with logistics planners to optimize shipping schedules and dock operations.
- Address and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Prepare daily reports on team performance and operational metrics.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics supervision.
- Valid forklift certification and knowledge of material handling equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in using WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
