Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in compliance with OSHA standards
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain efficient workflow during weekend operations
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for accurate inventory tracking and documentation
- Implement strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a hazard-free environment
- Assist in warehouse organization and dock operations to ensure timely weekend deliveries
- Train new weekend staff on forklift operation and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift operator license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating sit-down forklifts in warehouse settings
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and digital reporting tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance
- Flexible availability for weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) with potential overtime
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
