Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in proper working condition and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and 5S guidelines to minimize hazards.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including scanning, counting, and verifying stock accuracy during weekend cycles.
- Collaborate with team leads to ensure production targets and shipping deadlines are met without compromising safety standards.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company policies regarding material handling and chemical safety.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Forklift Operator Certification (Class A or B) or be willing to obtain one prior to start.
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Must have a clean driving record and be eligible to pass a background check and drug screening.
