The Role
As a Cold Storage Worker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for the safe handling and storage of temperature-sensitive goods in our state-of-the-art facility.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move products and materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles using hand trucks, forklifts, and other machinery.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy, ensuring all items are properly labeled and stored in designated areas.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies to the warehouse supervisor immediately.
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and walking throughout the warehouse.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or cold storage environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Willingness to work in a temperature-controlled environment (can be below freezing).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols strictly.
- Must possess a valid driver's license or be able to operate warehouse equipment.
