Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 2026 technology roadmaps for AI, quantum, and biotech convergence
- Identify emerging tech trends and assess market viability through rigorous data analysis
- Architect proof-of-concept projects with 18-month implementation horizons
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to align innovation with business objectives
- Manage $5M+ R&D budgets across 3-5 strategic technology pillars
- Present findings to investors and board members using compelling data visualizations
- Mentor junior researchers while maintaining hands-on technical involvement
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology leadership with 5+ years in emerging tech specialization
- Proven track record of launching at least two breakthrough products post-2020
- Expertise in at least three of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or synthetic biology
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, or IEEE)
- Strong proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Certification in Technology Foresight (e.g., from WFS or APF)
- Experience securing federal SBIR grants or corporate venture capital
