Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify paradigm-shifting technologies by 2026
- Develop strategic roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary workshops with MIT, Stanford, and NASA collaborators
- Produce visionary white papers and technology impact assessments for Fortune 500 clients
- Prototype experimental solutions using our $50M innovation lab facilities
- Advise C-suite executives on long-term technology adoption strategies
- Mentor a team of 5-7 junior futurists through our proprietary FutureThink program
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field with 10+ years experience
- Proven track record in forecasting technology trends (e.g., published Gartner reports)
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum machine learning, synthetic biology, or neuromorphic computing
- Experience leading $5M+ R&D initiatives with measurable ROI
- Deep understanding of ethical implications of exponential technologies
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Published author in Nature, Science, or IEEE Spectrum within the last 3 years
