Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for 2026 technology landscape across AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps with 5-year commercialization timelines
- Drive cross-disciplinary R&D initiatives between quantum, neural, and molecular systems
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and national labs for early-stage technology adoption
- Present future technology frameworks to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Lead patent strategy for emerging intellectual property in next-gen tech domains
- Mentor innovation teams in predictive technology forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or related field with 10+ years tech innovation experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies with $50M+ impact
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum machine learning, synthetic biology interfaces, or neuro-symbolic AI
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.) on future technologies
- Experience with technology forecasting frameworks (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific concepts into business strategy
- Strong network within DARPA, IARPA, or equivalent innovation ecosystems
