Responsibilities
- Operate refrigerated warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts in sub-zero environments
- Monitor and maintain temperature-controlled zones (-10°F to 40°F) using digital monitoring systems
- Execute inventory management tasks with barcode scanners and WMS software
- Adhere to strict HACCP and OSHA safety protocols for cold storage operations
- Perform quality control checks on perishable goods including meat, produce, and pharmaceuticals
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for efficient loading/unloading of refrigerated trailers
- Maintain detailed logs for equipment, inventory, and temperature compliance
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in temperature-controlled warehouse environments
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred (training available)
- Valid forklift certification with refrigerated environment experience
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong attention to detail for inventory accuracy and safety compliance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand/walk 8+ hours daily
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
