Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature levels (-10°F to 40°F) in refrigerated/freezer zones
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and cold-storage equipment following OSHA safety protocols
- Inspect and document product integrity during loading/unloading of perishable goods
- Execute inventory management procedures using WMS technology in cold environments
- Adhere to HACCP and FDA regulations for food safety compliance
- Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration units and warehouse systems
- Train new associates on cold-storage safety procedures and equipment operation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in cold storage or temperature-controlled warehouse environments
- Valid OSHA forklift certification and pallet jack operation skills
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods (4-6 hour shifts)
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., Oracle WMS, SAP)
- Strong attention to detail for quality control and safety documentation
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED required, technical certification preferred
