Responsibilities
- Maintain strict temperature control protocols for refrigerated storage zones
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and material handling equipment in cold environments
- Perform accurate inventory counts using RF scanning technology
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety standards for cold storage operations
- Coordinate loading/unloading of refrigerated trucks with strict time sensitivity
- Sanitize equipment and facilities according to food safety guidelines
- Document inventory movements and temperature logs in real-time
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months cold storage or warehouse experience required
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in 32°F-40°F environments for extended periods
- Basic math skills for inventory reconciliation
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability including weekends
