Responsibilities
- Unload, inspect, and store perishable goods in refrigerated/freezer units (-10°F to 40°F)
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and temperature-monitoring equipment per HACCP standards
- Rotate inventory using FIFO methods to ensure product freshness and compliance
- Maintain precise documentation of lot numbers, temperatures, and handling procedures
- Conduct daily sanitation and safety checks of equipment and storage areas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient loading/unloading schedules
- Adhere to OSHA, FDA, and company-specific safety protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience required
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to pass company training)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in sub-zero environments for 8+ hours
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems (WMS experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
