Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in refrigerated and frozen storage areas
- Inspect and operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) safely
- Load/unload trucks while ensuring proper product rotation and FIFO compliance
- Conduct routine safety audits and maintain cleanliness in storage facilities
- Assist with inventory management using warehouse management systems
- Document temperature logs and warehouse activities accurately
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet shipping/receiving deadlines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year warehouse/cold storage experience preferred
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance awareness
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
